On May 4th, 2024, the Toronto Maple Leafs lost 2-1 to the Boston Bruins in overtime of Game 7 of their first-round matchup in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Despite a goal from William Nylander in the 3rd period, who has consistently done his best Achilles impression in the playoffs, The Bruins were too much for the Leafs to take, with Hampus Lindholm quickly scoring after Nylander to even the game again, and David Pastrnak scoring early into Overtime to ice the game. This isn't the first time the Leafs have dealt with the Bruins in the first-round of the playoffs. in 2013, 2018 and 2019, the Leafs were consistently bested by their boogeymen from Boston. When it comes to the Bruins, the Maple Leafs seem to be incapable of matching them.
