Made by Firewalk Studios, a new game developer composed primarily of former Activision and Bungie employees, the game was a team-based hero shooter, akin to the style of Overwatch or Team Fortress. The roster of 16 characters included a diverse pool of heroes which included robots, aliens, and humans, battling in a variety of Player Vs. Player game modes. Sony and Firewalk poured a lot of money into the game, with some game journalists even predicting it would kill the struggling Overwatch 2, and when the game finally released, It was met with a player base that could be mistaken for an indie title. At the peak of its popularity, Concord had a player base of under 600 people. For reference, the 10-year-old Grand Theft Auto V has 130,000 concurrent players as I write this. Hell, the gam...
